I've never really thought it fair that a man should be executed for not being able to think of a word, but that hasn't stopped Hangman becoming one of the most popular guessing games on the planet.
Hangman Classic Free is an iPhone version of the classic game, in which you need to figure out what a word is by guessing letters. Simply tap a letter on the screen and if it's in the word it will be displayed, if it's not then another body part will be drawn onto the hanging stickman. Guess the word before the drawing is complete and you win, or else you die. It's that simple.
The layout of Hangman Classic Free is very pleasant and looks a lot like my school exercise book circa 1991. Don't expect any fancy animations or 3D effects though, because this game is strictly retro. You can choose one of two layouts: pencil on paper, or chalk on blackboard.
Hangman Classic Free lacks many options, but you can choose to guess words from a number of different categories, such as English, Food & Drink, Boy Names, Girl Names, and World Countries. The two most annoying things about the game are: a) the adds, and b) the limited word list. Both of this will be rectified though if you upgrade to the full version.
Hangman Classic Free makes for an entertaining, if slightly understated, take on a popular classic.
